Why can't I hire a home chef from Facebook Marketplace?
While you can find home chefs on platforms like Facebook Marketplace, it comes with risks and added responsibilities. These include unverified chefs, inconsistent quality, lack of safety protocols, and the part-time job of managing schedules, payments, and menu planning. With Cravd, all chefs are thoroughly vetted for safety, hygiene, and professionalism. We also ensure availability with backup chefs ready to step in if needed. Our system, Maya, provides tailored menu recommendations based on your dietary needs. Plus, the platform captures your preferences over time, making it easier for home chefs to personalize your meals consistently and enhance your experience.
How much does Cravd's service cost, and are there subscription options?
Pricing varies based on two factors: the number of dishes per session and the frequency of sessions each week. All pricing is designed for households of up to 4 people. After onboarding, the initial matching session costs only $39. We offer flexible monthly subscriptions with bi-weekly payments for easy management. You can check out our transparent pricing.
What happens during the onboarding and matching process?
After you submit your requirements, we'll onboard you and set up your profile. We'll then match you with a chef based on your preferences and schedule a session to ensure everything is customized to your needs. If necessary, we'll provide additional matching sessions until you're fully satisfied with your home chef. After that, we'll work with you to create a personalized monthly plan that fits your schedule and preferences.
Are the chefs vetted for quality, safety, and hygiene?
Absolutely! All Cravd chefs undergo a thorough vetting process, including background checks and food safety certifications, to ensure high standards in food quality, safety, and hygiene.
Do I need to provide the ingredients, or does the chef bring them?
Typically, the chef will use the ingredients available in your kitchen. However, if you prefer, they can help source ingredients or create a shopping list for you beforehand. There is an additional cost of $25 per grocery pickup if the chef needs to handle sourcing the ingredients.
